Course Description

5-Days (40-hour course)

Target Participants:
Safety officers, occupational health practitioners, OSH practitioners, safety committee members

This 40-hour basic course on occupational safety and health takes you beyond the basics of compliance to help you understand best practices which will help your organization prevent injuries and related costs. Also, the completion of this course is a requirement for the appointment of safety officer in place of employment and a pre-requisite for accreditation as OSH practitioner issued by the Bureau of Working Conditions (BWC) of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) as stipulated under Rule 1030 of the Philippine Occupational Safety and Health Standards.
This course is designed to provide participants with basic tools in assisting employer in complying with the applicable provisions of the Occupational Safety and Health Standards and in developing basic programs to address the unique needs of the workplace.
